Global corruption index

indice-de-corrupcionThe NGO Transparency International has published a comprehensive study of the corruption index in the world. This time as Asia leads the continent with ma corruption, followed closely by Africa. Occupying Somalia as the most corrupt country in the world.

This study was performed in 177 of the world, on a scale of 0 to 100 (0 no corruption). As shown in the graph no country scored a perfect score, as we see corruption is one of the most serious problems of the world society.

The 10 most corrupt countries in the world

This year the Somali country tops the list, but are in the top 10 6 4 African and Asian countries. Dictatorship and political instability puts North Korea as the second most corrupt country in the world.

Corruption in Latin America

Again the most corrupt country in Latin America is Venezuela, but this time it was no longer among the 10 first ranked 20th Furthermore Uruguay is ranked 73 and is the least corrupt country in Latin America, followed closely by Chile which last year ranked first in the list of Latin America.

The world’s least corrupt countries

As we said no country has earned a perfect score, but it is clear that the continent with less corruption in the world is Europe. Denmark and New Zealand are tied for first place and top the list and are the least corrupt countries, are Finland (Europe), Sweden (Europe), Norway (Europe), Singapore (Asia), Switzerland (Europe), Australia (Oceania) and Canada (America).
